Are you looking to increase your testosterone levels?
Want to naturally boost performance in the gym and gain muscle without potentially dangerous artificial supplements or steroids?
Tongkat Ali supplements may be just what you’re looking for.
A scientifically-backed supplement, Tongkat Ali is becoming increasingly popular with male fitness enthusiasts. In this blog post, we’ll explore the benefits of using Tongkat Ali supplements to naturally enhance testosterone levels, as well as offering advice on how much to take and when best to incorporate it into your daily routine.
Tongkat Ali and its benefits for testosterone levels.
As men age, their testosterone levels naturally decline. This can lead to a variety of health concerns, such as a decrease in muscle mass, an increase in body fat, and a decreased sex drive. While there are many ways to boost testosterone levels, one of the most effective is by taking Tongkat Ali supplements.
Tongkat Ali is a plant that is native to Southeast Asia. It has been used for centuries to treat a variety of health concerns, including low testosterone levels. Tongkat Ali supplements are made from the root of the plant and are known for their ability to boost testosterone levels safely and effectively.
One of the main benefits of Tongkat Ali supplements is that they can help increase muscle mass. They do this by helping to increase the amount of testosterone in the body. Additionally, Tongkat Ali supplements can help reduce body fat and improve libido.
The active ingredient in tongkat ali is called eurycomanone. It is a quassinoid, which is a type of compound that is found in plants and is known for its various health benefits. Eurycomanone is thought to be the main active component in tongkat ali that is responsible for its various effects on the body, including its ability to improve sexual function, boost energy levels, and support the immune system. Eurycomanone has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which may help protect against a range of diseases and health conditions.
Research that supports the use of Tongkat Ali supplements as a testosterone booster.
The research that supports the use of Tongkat Ali supplements as a testosterone booster is extensive.
A study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research found that eurycomanone supplementation resulted in a significant increase in bench press strength and lean body mass. Another study published in the European Journal of Applied Physiology found that eurycomanone supplementation was able to improve running performance, peak power output, and time to exhaustion.
In one study, 45 men were given either a placebo or 200mg of Tongkat Ali extract daily for four weeks. Researchers found that the men who took the Tongkat Ali extract had significantly higher levels of testosterone than those who took the placebo. Additionally, the men who took the Tongkat Ali extract also had lower levels of cortisol, a hormone that can suppress testosterone production.
These studies suggest that Tongkat Ali may be an effective testosterone booster and could help improve fertility in men.
A bit of background on me – At 40 years old, fortunately I don’t have issues with putting on muscle mass or sexual function. My reasons for getting into Tongkat Ali and natural testosterone supplementation was more mood and energy based. I felt I was doing most right but still felt drained and mostly unmotivated.
I decided it couldn’t hurt to get some bloodwork done and check out my testosterone levels – which were inside the normal range but at the lower end. They seemed to be average and average is normally not good so I started to look into boosting levels naturally (here are my results, you can get a test like this done which will give you levels on all your key male hormones, I used an Australian based company though these types of tests are available in most countries).
So upon reading Neuroscientist Dr Andrew Huberman’s glowing reviews on natural t-boosters Tongkat Ali and Fadogia Agrestis, I figured why not give them a try…
I can report they had an almost immediate effect on my energy levels, however two days after starting with 400mg of each supplement per day, my libido hit an “uncomfortable” high. A little trial & error worked its magic though, as cutting back down to half dose calmed everything right down again. Moral of this story: when raising those T-levels you gotta go slow or else face the consequences!
So if you’re considering this supplement for increased sexual function I can definitely recommend, especially paired with Fadogia Agrestis.
Overall, the Tongkat Ali and Fadogia Agrestis combo did make me feel more confident and happier, this also peaked and plateau’d over the week but settled in to a general sense of well being.
I also felt quite a bit leaner and saw better definition in my chest with no change to my diet or gym routine.
Follow up blood work will need to be drawn in the near future to see if it actually has boosted my T-levels. A report on that to come.
Yes, women can take Tongkat Ali, however the effects may differ from those experienced by men.
There is limited research specifically on the experiences and effects of tongkat ali in women. Some women have reported positive experiences with tongkat ali, such as increased energy and libido, reduced stress and anxiety, and improved athletic performance.
In one study, women taking a daily dose of 1 gram of Tongkat Ali root extract for two months reported improved sleep quality and reduced feelings of stress, fatigue and confusion. Additionally, the women in this study had lower levels of cortisol after taking Tongkat Ali for two months.
When it comes to Tongkat Ali, there is no definitive answer as to how much to take and when is the best time to incorporate it into your daily routine. Some people recommend taking it every day, while others suggest cycling it like anabolic steroids so your body doesnt adapt, I like the cyclying idea. As with any supplement, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional to find out what’s right for you.
That being said, here are some general guidelines to help you get started: Tongkat Ali can be taken in capsule or powder form, and the recommended dosage varies depending on the product. For capsules, the typical dosage is between 200 and 400 milligrams per day, while for powders it’s typically 1-3 grams per day. It’s best to start with a lower dose and increase gradually if needed.
Tongkat Ali can be taken at any time of day, but some people find that taking it before bedtime helps them sleep better. It’s also a good idea to drink plenty of water when taking Tongkat Ali, as it can have a diuretic effect. And as with any supplement, be sure to consult with your doctor before starting a new regimen.
Tongkat Ali is a powerful supplement that can significantly increase testosterone levels and help put you on the path to better health. Research shows this natural remedy may improve energy, focus, libido – even your ability to build muscle!
